Foundation’s Board

Foundation’s Board is a managerial body. All the decisions regarding disbursement of financial resources amassed on the Foundation’s account and decisions concerning the course of social campaigns, funds and other programmes realised by the Foundation fall within competence of the Board. Individual members realise permanently the activities described below: The following people form the Foundation’s Board:

1. Jerzy Natkański. President of the Foundation. Within his competence lie: managing the Foundation’s work, convening and presiding over the Board’s meetings, running the Foundation’s office and servicing the Foundation’s bank accounts. He was Secretary General and Vice-President of the Polish Mountaineering Association. Participant of many expeditions into the Himalayas and the Karakorum, including winter expeditions to Nanga Parbat, Netia K-2 and Makalu. He summited Gasherbrum II and Broad Peak. He has been working at the Commission Against Doping in Sport.

2. Michał Bucholz. Deputy President of the Foundation. He supports the President in realisation of tasks connected with servicing the Foundation’s bank account. He offers valuable advice within the scope of law and accountancy. He climbed in the Tatra Mountains, Afghan Hindu Kush, The Andes (Cordillera Huayhuash), Kilimanjaro masif and the Himalayas. For a number of years he has been an active social member of Polish Mountaineering Association, Jerzy Kukuczka Polish Mountaineering Support Foundation and Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society. Since 2004 he has been a Vice-Director of the Board of Jerzy Kukuczka Polish Mountaineering Support Foundation.

3. Hanna Wiktorowska. She also supports the President in fulfilling his tasks; she has considerable experience resulting from long-term work as a Secretary General, Office Director of the Polish Mountaineering Association and a President of the Foundation. During the current tenure, she belongs to the Arbitration by Fellow Members of Polish Mountaineering Association.

4. Artur Paszczak. In the past he was a member of the Board, since many years he has been a member of works committees of Polish Mountaineering Association (Mountaineering Commitee and Commitee of the Tatra Mountains). He is an active climber, doing various routes in the Tatra Mountains and in other European mountains. One of the initiators of the so-called Tatra Agreement and Social Campaign „Tatry bez Młotka” („Tatra Mountains Without a Hammer”), which he leads and coordinated on the behalf of the Foundation Board.

5. Wojciech „KANION” Grzesiok mountaineer, climbing instructor, WOPR (Water Volunteer Rescue Service) rescuer, outdoor trainer. Polish University Championships medallist in basketball. Member of the Board of Mountaineering Club in Gliwice. Co-author of the first ascents of passes and summits in the Tien-Shan mountains. Author of new climbing routes in Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska in the region of Smoleń. Conqueror of the Mount Fitz Roy in Patagonia. Nominated to the prestigious “Kolosy 2007” award for his travels to Kyrgyzstan and to the “Kolosy 2008” award for the first attempt in history to swim across Lake Baikal.
6. Piotr Głowacki „Faraon ” viceprezes KW Katowice, wspina się zarówno w skałkach jak i w górach . Aktualnie realizuje autorski projekt “Korona Ziemi z rozrusznikiem” (rozrusznik serca ma od 1995r). Jego pasjami są ponadto podróże, żeglarstwo i fotografia. Wielotetni prezes a obecnie viceprezes Stowarzyszenia “Chałupa Chemików” prowadzącego schronisko turystyczne w Beskidzie Żywieckim. Członek Rady Fundacji od 25 maja 2014.
